I finally got to play with the pretty flower die that is sold as a bundle with the "Abstract Impressions. It's called "Springtime Impressions".
I die cut the flower piece using Bermuda Bay card stock. I used the sticky paper behind it so after die cutting it, it is now a sticker. I HATE gluing intricate things like that. I avoid them at all costs but with the double sided sticky sheet I am now using these things a lot more and loving it! I stuck that flower image to the left side of the folded half-sheet of Bermuda Bay card stock.
Next I took a 3-3/4" x 2-1/8" piece of Whisper White and stamped the leaves/stems using Soft Sea Foam with the thickest leaves image. And I used Pear Pizzazz for the thinner leaves image. I stamped the flowers using Bermuda Bay ink and I stamped the highlights of the flowers using Night of Navy. I cut a Night of Navy piece 3-7/8" x 2-1/4" for the layer. I taped it to the stamped flower layer. I taped those layers to the card front. Then I added a piece of the retired corduroy Night of Navy ribbon.
The words are from the "Love What You Do" set. I stamped them using Night of Navy ink. I die cut a scalloped oval in Night of Navy at the same time I die cut the word oval. I taped those two pieces together. I set the oval in place on the card using Dimensionals. And that was it. This card was a lot quicker to make than I thought it would be.
It was a very fun card to make and I can see myself making another one.
