Today I thought I would make a pretty bridal card. I bought the new "Wonderful Moments" stamp set and had not used it yet. There's two more images in the set plus LOTS of words, dots, a package and some balloons. One of the women is standing with her back to us and an arm extended to hold a package or the balloons or a bouquet of flowers. The other woman is pregnant. I can't wait to play with that one the next time I take that set out.
But for today's card I opted to make it a bridal card. I used the "Delicate Lace" edgelets dies again. I think it creates such a pretty border/edge.
The base of my car is a folded half-sheet of Smoky Slate. On top of that is a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White that I die cut and then stamped on. I stamped the image using Smoky Slate ink. I also stamped the words using Smoky Slate ink and I layered them using Smoky Slate card stock. I wrapped white Baker's Twine about five times around the end of the edgelets and I tied a bow about 1/4th up from the bottom of the card. I added a glue dot to the back of the twine to keep it in place. I also added a small one behind the bow to hold it in place in the front.
I taped the Whisper White die cut piece on the Smoky Slate card base. I did add some snail to the solid areas of the lacy part to help keep that in place.
I colored the woman in using the Petal Pink marker and a blender pen. I used the Soft Suede marker and a blender pen for the hair. I also colored in the flowers using Petal Pink and Pear Pizzazz markers. I didn't use a blender pen on the flowers.
I set the words in place with a Dimensional and the card was done.
I do like how this card turned out. Too bad the set doesn't have a groom with it.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
