I just HAD to have this pretty "Delicate Lace" edglits dies. I have had them for a couple of weeks now and have not played with them. There's three designs in the package. This is the largest one. I think this would be pretty on a wedding or anniversary card too.
I found a fun sample on Pinterest and I thought I would give it a try. What did I have to lose, right? I did change it a little. I used black Memento ink for the image and the words instead of Flirty Flamingo.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Flirty Flamingo card stock. This card opens at the bottom. I cut a 2-1/8" x 5-1/2" piece of Vellum and taped it on the bottom edge (of the Vellum) to the top part of the card base. You don't want the tape to show so the tape is on the opposite edge. Does that make sense? If you would tape the Vellum to the top edge of the card where the fold is you would be able to see the tape, so you tape it at the other end and leave the top loose.
Next I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock and die cut the edge.
I stamped the flowers and the words from the "Love What You Do" set. I used black Memento ink for that. I used the Flirty Flamingo marker to color in the flowers. I don't have the Blends yet, so I just colored with the marker. I colored over the center part and it got a little darker. It worked out fine!! I tied a ribbon around the card and knotted it. I added a glue dot behind the knot to hold the ribbon in place. I'm not sure if the ribbon is current but it's what I used.
This was a very quick and simple card to make. Like I said, this would be a very pretty wedding or anniversary card too!!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
