Today's card was a super quick and easy card to do. Now I am saying easy because I used the Blends Markers for coloring the flowers. All you do is color first with the lighter color and then add some color from the darker one. Here I added it to the bottom part of the flower. And that is it!!! You can also do this with a blender pen but the paper only allows you to color over the same area a few times and then it starts to pill. You know, those little bits of paper that start to roll in little balls on your work, or I should say, overworked work! Alcohol markers do not do that. They bleed through so be careful what is behind the piece you are coloring.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.
I cut a 5" x 2-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and on top of that I taped a piece of the new "Share What You Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP). I taped those layers in place on the 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock. Then I cut a 3-1/2" x 2-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow card stock and the Whisper White layer on top of that was cut 3-1/4" x 2". I stamped the image and colored the flowers using the Rich Razzleberry Blends markers. I set that piece in place using Dimensionals.
The words are from the new "Itty Bitty Greetings" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink. That is the same ink I used on the flowers. And that was it. The SDSP pretty much carries the background of the card and the flowers on the focal piece were just enough to make the card elegant looking.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
