Bokeh Dots, Dragonfly Dreams, Better Together, Sympathy Card

Today's card features the "Bokeh Dots" stamp set.  There is the "Bokeh" technique but I have only tried it once.  When I saw that there was a stamp all ready to make the dots for you, I was all for it.  The stamp is a bit tricky to work with.  You really need a fairly dry stamp pad to get the ink to go on nicely.  My Balmy Blue ink pad is brand new and very wet. I even tried stamping off once. I got better detail but one end was just too light.  Oh and you REALLY need the new Chamois stamp cleaner. Any little thing left behind from your stamp scrubber, baby wipes or towel will stick to this image.  Plus the new Chamois cleans your stamps really well and they are not wet like they are with the stamp and scrub thing. You rinse out the Chamois when you are done and let it dry out. It feels like egg carton material when it's dry.  I LOVE using it to clean my stamps.

Anyway, back to my card.  I ended up keeping the image that has a bit too much ink on the stamp. I covered the worst parts with the dragonfly.  I stamped the "Bokeh" image using Balmy Blue ink. I trimmed the edges and then I added a 2-1/4" x 3-3/8" piece of Balmy Blue card stock.  I set that piece in place using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Better Together" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink.

I die cut the dragonfly from the "Dragonfly Dreams, Detailed Dragonfly" thinlits dies.  I set him in place with pieces of Dimensional at the thickest part of the body.  And that was it.  If I hadn't struggled so much with the "Bokeh" piece the card would have been a super breeze and done in under 10 minutes!  Let me know if you have any tricks for getting that image to stamp better.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
