The "Pretty Kitty" set was one I just had to have, mostly because of my great love for cats. I hardly play with the set. So today I thought I would make a birthday card for someone who is turning three. I also found a great site that has wording for inside of cards. I just printed them out on the computer and taped them inside the card. I found that site here.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Pumpkin Pie card stock. On top of that is a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Decorative Series Paper from the "Birthday Memories" 12" x 12" pack.
The "Happy Birthday" is from the "Happy Birthday" thinlits die. I used the double stick paper on the card stock so I could make the words a sticker. I can't imagine trying to glue them in place. UGH!!! I've gotten so lazy and spoiled by all of this fun stuff!
I stamped the kitty and colored the image using markers. The kitty was done with the Smoky Slate marker and a blender pen. I die cut it with the oval die and I also die cut a scalloped oval for the layer. I taped those two pieces together and set them in place with Dimensionals.
Before affixing the "Happy Birthday", I used the Wink of Stella pen on it to give it a bit of shimmer. And that was it. I thought it went together quickly. It's bright and cheery and something a three year old would like! They will like the toys more! LOL
