Today I am going to share with you the card I made for Terri's Technique swap. I believe this technique is called the "Double Fold" technique, but I could be mistaken. It's a very easy technique to do.
You will need a half sheet of card stock. I used Whisper White here. It was cut 4-1/4" x 11". It's scored at 2-3/4" and at 6". And you decorate the front as desired. Here I used the dotted images from the "Petal Palette" set and Pool Party ink.
Next you need a 3" x 9" piece of card stock and you score it at 3" and 6". Here I used Pool Party card stock. And you will need two 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" pieces of card stock. Here I used Whisper White.
I stamped the dots on one side of my card. That is now officially the front of my card. Then I folded the score lines. The first score line I folded "mountain" fold and the second score line I folded "valley" fold. I did the same for the 9" piece as well.
I taped the 9" piece in place. Be sure not to add tape to the whole first panel. Only tape about 1-1/2" from the end. On the 3rd panel you can add as much tape as you want. But wait to add the tape to that piece until you have affixed the first piece. Center the front as much as possible and then press in place. Now you can tape the other end in place. It may be easier to tape the inside part first. Line it up and press it in place. Then close the card and add the tape to the top 1-1/2" and press it in place.
Next I took the 2-3/4" square and stamped the words from the same set using black Memento ink.
I stamped and die cut the flowers. I colored them with the Pool Party and Old Olive Blends markers. I set them in place using Dimenisonals. And that was it. I told you it's an easy technique, though more of a fun fold.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
