When finding die cut pieces sitting around my worktable, I often wonder why I hadn't used them. What's really fun is when I do use them on a card, it sure makes for a super quick card!!! This is a very fun and simple card, even if you have to make all the parts fresh!
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Calypso Coral card stock. I cut a 2-3/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Old Olive Card stock. On top of that is a 2-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of "Petal Garden" Decorative Series Paper. I taped those two layers together and then I taped the back. I stuck a half a paper doily to the back and then set the strip in place. I taped the end of the stem of the die cut branch at about the spot where the bird feet were going to be.
I stamped and die cut the bird and colored it in using Calypso Coral and Crumb Cake Blends markers. I set the bird in place using Dimensionals.
The words are from the same "Petal Palette" bundle. I stamped them using black Memento ink (that's all I ever use) and die cut them with the label die in the bundle. I set them in place using Dimensionals. And after adding a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of white card stock inside, the card was done!!
It was fun and simple and I think it has a very cheery look to it.
