Perennial Birthday, Happy Birthday Gorgeous, Birthday Card, Sliding Pocket Technique

I found a fun tutorial on Pinterest. The instructions are very easy to follow and the measurements are not only spoken but also printed at the top of the video.

I watched the video and wrote down the measurements.  Then I watched it again and stopped it each time to go cut my pieces as I followed along.

There was no name to this fun technique. In the video it said it was card sketch #26, I believe.

I do not have the new papers and inks yet. There's a new kit that is out but I'm going to wait. I just used what I had to make this fun card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Old Olive. My layers are Very Vanilla.  I used the scalloped circle because I don't have the new shimmering doilies yet.  I didn't have colored pearls, so I used my Blends marker and colored on 3 pearls.  Works for me!

What is so fun about this card is that there's a sliding pocket at the bottom of the front panel.  You just pull that ribbon piece down and the greetings slides out.

I thought this was a very fun card to make and it's also extremely adorable!!!  There's a lot of paper cutting but it's SO worth it. But once you get the pieces cut and tape your layers together you are only down to a few pieces to finish off the card.  Click on the link above and go check out the fun video.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
