Are you surprised I didn't use the "Petite Palette" set??? Me too!!! LOL This card only had one stamp used on it. The "Happy Birthday" came from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set.
I should have take the photo of this card with a dark background because you can't see unless you look more towards the bottom left corner that the card base is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.
I took a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Berry Burst card stock and textured it using the "Garden Trellis" embossing folder.
Next I set a doily on top, centered from side to side but a bit closer to the top edge than it is to the bottom edge.
I cut a strip of the "Petal Garden" Decorative Series Paper (DSP) 1-1/2" x 5". I used the Triple banner punch to punch the ribbon look at the bottom. You can also achieve this by using your snips. I set the strip in place and I did mark at the top of it where I needed to trim it a bit to shorten it. It's better to have it too long while you are working on it and trim some off than to have it too short. I taped that piece in place.
Next I stamped the words from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set using black Memento ink. I stamped them on Whisper White card stock. Then I die cut them out using the second to the largest "Stitched Oval" die. I also die cut a Berry Burst oval that was a size bigger than the stitched oval. I taped the layers together and then I set the ovals in place using Dimensionals. And that was it. It's a pretty simple card to make. I am going to miss the doilies after the end of this month. They are retiring on the 31st.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
