The "Guy Greetings" set was one of my favorite masculine "go to "sets when I need any type of masculine card. I'm sad to see it retiring. I am going to hang on to it for a while longer though. I do sell many masculine cards at the craft fairs and I need to have some fun and easy masculine stamp sets to create them.
I found this card on Pinterest, thought I did make a few changes. The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla. On top of that is the "True Gentleman" Decorative Series Paper (DSP). I cut the left plaid piece 3-1/4" x 3-3/4" and the green piece on the right was cut 1-5/8" 3-3/4". Before I taped them in place, I stamped the car in the middle of the Very Vanilla piece. I die cut it with the stitched oval die. I find I get a sharper image with the new foam pads if I just have my image facing up and I bring the ink pad to the image. I let gravity work for pressing it into the image. I do that 3 times and I always seem to have just the right amount of ink on the image. I get nice crisp images ever time. Give it a try and see what you think.
After I got the car cut out I taped the DSP to the Very Vanilla piece. Then I wrapped a piece of the Night of Navy corduroy ribbon around it and taped the edges to the back. Then I taped those two layers on top of the card base.
I die cut a Night of Navy circle using the 2-11/16" circle from the "Layering Circles" framelit pack. I After taping the car to the circle, added Dimensionals to the back and set it aside.
I cut 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the greetings on it using Night of Navy ink. I cut a 2" x 3" piece of Night of Navy card stock for the layer.
I set the circle in place on the card front and then added the words. I did not put a Dimensional on the corner where the word "day" is. I just used tape there. And that was it. A pretty quick Father's Day card. It would also make a great birthday card or get well card too.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
