This card was extremely difficult to get a decent photo of. The silver foil card stock kept reflecting. If it wasn't reflecting my hand and camera, it was reflecting all the junk on the counter behind me!!! I finally found a good angle that didn't show the camera much and mostly the junk on the counter and yet showed the texture on the foil.
I found the card on Pinterest. I am thinking that the original card may have been heat embossed with black embossing powder because it's a lot darker than my dragonfly.
The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 2" x 4-7/8" piece of Basic Black card stock. And a textured 1-3/4" x 4-5/8" piece of the silver foil paper. I taped those layers together and I taped that to the card front.
I stamped the dragonfly and die cut it. I did end up trimming closer to the image, a little bit of fussy cutting. I took my black marker and colored around the edges of the dragonfly to hide any white showing. A little trick I like to do that makes it look like I'm a REALLY good paper cutter!!! Cheat, cheat, cheat!!! LOL
I added some silver thread to the back of the dragonfly and taped it in place.
The words are from the "You're Inspiring" set and were stamped using black Memento ink. And that was it. It's a pretty simple and easy card to make. This would also make a great masculine card too!
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

Hi Wanda, I love this card and am going to make one, too. I was just wondering if you stamped the dragonfly on silver foil as well? And what ink did you use? It makes the dragonfly look so different when you cut it that way and add the black marker to the edges.
I still check out your blog posts every day and am always amazed that you make a card everyday to post. I enjoy seeing what you have posted everyday. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I appreciate the hard work and effort keeping up a blog takes but it is so wonderful to share your cards with everyone.
Have a great day!
That's absolutely beautiful!
