Petal Palate, You're Inspiring, Birthday Card, 2018 Occasions Catalog

I am really loving this "Petals Palate" set.  I LOVE these flowers and there's a die that goes along with them!!!  NO fussy cutting.  Color me happy!!! LOL   

This card was very easy and quick to make. 

The base is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pink Pirouette. And the Whisper White piece was cut 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".  I embossed it with the "Petal Pair" Textured Impressions embossing folder.  I should try out the flower one in the pack one of these days!!

I like using the textured embossing folder on the smaller piece instead of just on a card front like I did on a card a few days ago.  You can see that card here.  It seemed to make the front of the card feel weak.

I had die cut the branch using the dies from the "Petal Palate" bundle.  After die cutting the flower piece, I colored it using the Pink Pirouette and Old Olive Blends markers.  They make coloring so quick and easy.  You just scribble!!!  I'm extremely good at scribbling!!  Once the coloring was done I taped some pieces of the Crumb Cake branch to the back.  I added Dimensionals. I made sure they Dimensionals covered the branch pieces.  I also added some loops of linen thread to the back of the flower piece.  I removed the protective tape from the Dimensionals and I set the flower piece in place.

The words are from the "You're Inspiring" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink.  I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers and that was it.  A very quick and fun card to make.
