I was going to stick with making cards using the Sale-a-Bration sets but I had to take a break and play with this fun masculine set. There's not that many masculine sets and when I see them I often buy them. This one has a little blast from the past on it too.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Night of Navy card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the "True Gentleman" Decorative Series Paper (DSP). I cut the DSP 4" x 2". I taped it in place about 3/4" up from the bottom of the larger piece of DSP. I added a piece of the corduroy ribbon to the top of the smaller piece of DSP.
I stamped the image on a piece of Very Vanilla that measured 2" x 2-5/8". The Night of Navy layer behind it measures 2-1/4" x 2-7/8". I set the word layers in place using Dimensionals.
I had saved the old retired mustache die and I thought it would look great at the bottom of this card. I set it in place with Dimensionals. Once in a while a little blast from the past is fun! If I hadn't had the mustache, I would have moved the wording up some and I would have moved the smaller layer of DSP up about an inch and then stamped the old car from the "Guy Greetings" set to give it a little more appeal.
This was a fun card and I'm sure any guy would love to receive it. Especially if they have a mustache!!!
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
