Another simple and quick card using the "Petal Palette" set. And no, I did not put it away, that is why I'm playing with it again!!! My secret is out!!! LOL
I just thought it was such a fun card that I wanted to play with it again and I wanted to use words that were larger and thicker than yesterday's card. And I think the words look much better on this card.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of "Petal Garden" Decorative Series Paper (DSP). I cut a 1-1/4" x 4" strip of the Rich Razzleberry piece from the same pack of DSP. I layered it with a piece of Berry Burst card stock. I tried the Rich Razzleberry but it just didn't meld as well as the Berry Burst did, so I ran with that.
I stamped, die cut and colored the flowers. I used the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Blends pens. I LOVE those alcohol markers, you can scribble and it looks great!! I'm all for that! I set it on top of the die cut oval to see where the words would go. My "Rose Wonder" set is the clear stamps so I could see through them and know where the words should go. I stamped the words using black Memento ink. Then I set the flower in place using snail tape. I turned the piece over and loaded it with Dimensionals, especially where the oval and the flower piece met. That just assures me the two pieces will stay together. I set it in place on the card front and that was it. Super easy and quick too!!
