Today was a "let's color" day. I was in the mood to stamp something that I could just sit down and color. The "Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts" set was perfect for that, plus I hadn't played with it yet. I'm not sure why I bought this set. I must have seen a finished card and it moved me to get the set. So this is what I came up with.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Flirty Flamingo. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 3-1/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Flirty Flamingo. On top of that is a 2-7/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Basic Black card stock. And the focal piece is cut 2-3/4" x 3-1/2".
I colored in the image using markers and Blends. I had a lot of fun with the coloring, it was just the right amount of coloring I needed!! I taped the focal layer, the Basic Black layer and the Flirty Flamingo layers all together. I added Dimensionals to the back.
I set the focal layers on top of the card front to see where the words needed to go. I stamped the words from the "Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts" set using black Memento ink. I set the focal piece in place and added a Whisper White piece on the inside to write on and that was it. The coloring went quickly, so all in all it was not a huge time consumer to make.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
