I bought the "Seasonal Chums" set bundled with the "Seasonal Tags" framelits mostly because of the snowman. I have this "thing" for snowmen. I don't know why I love them so, but I do!!! I'm hoping we have a sticky snow so I can get out there and make a snowman. It's been a couple of years because of my hip. But now I have a new hip and I'm ready to play in the snow. I have no intentions on growing up at all!!! LOL
This was a very easy and fun card to make. My problem usually comes in the coloring. I have trouble deciding on what color to use. I knew I had to use the Bermuda Bay because that was the color of the ribbon I had. I embossed the sweater looking texture and cut my card stock. The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White. I cut it at 4-1/4 on the short side. I folded it in half and then cut off 2-3/4" off the front. I used that cut off piece to stamp and die cut my snowman. Yup, die cut!!! NO fussy cutting here!!!
I ran across a Falling Snow textured piece of Whisper White so I die cut two ovals. I thought the background could use some texture. I layered it on top of a scalloped Old Olive oval. I set the snowman in place using Dimensionals. I also set the ovals in place using Dimensionals, but only on half of the oval. If you do the whole oval you won't be able to open your card. I tied my ribbon on and left it as a knot and not a bow, just in case I want to give it to a male. And that was it. Pretty simple and pretty quick. A few markers and you have some fun colors and a cute card!! Oh, I did have to trim off the top part near the hat, that is where the image is folded in half. The snowman actually has a front and back to him, he's suppose to be a tag (too darn cute!!!).
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
