Seasonal Chums, Snowflake Embossing Folder, Christmas Card

I'm trying to play with all of the Christmas sets I bought.  I'm learning that I only really need 3 sets. When I buy more I don't get to play with them as much as I had hoped and the end of December comes so fast and they are retired.  SO, I have decided that 3 is the magic number!!!  The problem is, will I remember that next fall??  LOL

I found this card, or one VERY similar to it on Pinterest. You can see the original card here.  I changed the ribbon and the layering a little.  I think there are Dimensionals on the layers somewhere, but this is how I made it. When I saw the reindeer on this card I felt jealousy because I thought he was adorable and I hadn't ordered  him.  But reading on I realized the "Seasonal Chums" set was used and I had that!!!  YAY!!!

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the "Dazzling Diamonds" glitter paper. I did cut a 3" x 4-1/4" piece out of the middle of it. It's too expensive of a paper to hide the whole thing under another layer.

Next I cut the Whisper White focal piece 3-3/4" x 5". I used the snowflake embossing folder and once the snowflake was embossed, I used the "Fine Tip Glue Pen" and followed the raised "lines" and added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to it. It took a little while to do this, I wasn't able to just add glue and then glitter, the glue would dry before you got to the end.  So I just did parts at a time and it actually did go pretty fast.  Next I stamped the words from the "Seasonal Chums" set using Soft Suede ink.

Next I took some lace ribbon and some Whisper White Classic Weave ribbon and taped the two together.  The original card used some ribbon that I think was Crumb Cake colored.  I didn't have any, so This is what I came up with. I was going to just use the white ribbon only but I thought the lace would make it look even more delicate and sweet.  I was right.  I took a piece of the double ribbon and tied a knot on the front.

I stamped and cut the reindeer out using the "Seasonal Chums" set and the "Seasonal Tags" framelits. I colored the reindeer and set him in place using Dimensionals.  Some pearls were added to the snowflake and it was done!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
