I found a fun background technique to try. It's super easy and I thought it was kind of pretty. Mine got washed out too much but it's still colorful. You can find the technique here.
All you do is sponge ink on your card stock. Bermuda Bay, Night of Navy and Elegant Eggplant was used here. Then you spray it with water. I sprayed mine a bit too much and the color got washed out. And that is all you do. I did use my heat tool to dry the paper faster. It will warp so you do need some strong tape to hold the paper down. Unless you press it while it's still damp or even hot from the heat tool. But I didn't do that because I didn't think of it until now!!! LOL
I die cut the church and house image from the "Hearts Come Home" bundle. I LOVE playing with that bundle.
The words are from the "Merry Patterns" set. I've used that stamp more than any of the other ones in that set! The words are so elegant looking.
I did add the moon because I thought the sky could use something. And I also colored the moon with the Wink of Stella to give it a bit of shimmer.
This was fun and I can see myself using this technique for other backgrounds.
Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
