Hometown Greetings, Winter Scene, Christmas Card

This card came about because of the stitched circle ring that was sitting on my worktable.  I had die cut the ring that I had made a couple of days ago. The ring was too small but I didn't want to put it in recycling. SO I just add it to the pile of stuff on my table!!!  Sound familiar or am I the only one???? You can see that card here, it needed a larger ring.

As I was looking at the "stuff" on my worktable I saw the ring and wondered what I could do with it and after a few minutes, this is the idea I had in my head. And it actually looked like that in my head!!!  Your glimpse into my spooky brain!!! LOL

I used the "Hometown" dies that goes with the "Hearts Come Home" bundle set.

I die cut the image that had the snowman and tree. I made sure I had some distance at the bottom because I wasn't sure how much was going to show.

I used mini Dimensionals on the back of the Dazzling Diamonds snowman and trees.  I trimmed the back so it wouldn't show under the front ring.  I die cut the falling snow image paper from the "Christmas Around the World"  12" x 12" Decorative Series Paper (DSP).  I die cut a scrap piece of card stock, any color, it doesn't matter.  I taped the falling snow DSP to the top of it then attached the snowman and trees piece.  I took some pieces of Dimensionals and went around the upper part of the ring with them. I set them in place on top of the snowman and trees piece.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  The next layer is a 4-5/8" x 3-1/2" piece of Tranquil Tide card stock.  On top of that is a piece of Whisper White that was cut 3" x 4-1/8" and the 2-7/8" x 4" piece of DSP from the "Painted Autumn" pack is taped to it.

Before attaching the Whisper White and the "Painted Autumn" piece to the Tranquil Tide piece I tied a silver tinsel ribbon knot around the piece. Then I added the Dimensionals and set it in place.  The Tranquil Tied piece was taped in place and that was it.

It's a very simple card to make.  I really like the looks of this card.

Thank you SO very much for stopping by today,
Wanda
