Seasonal Layers from the Colorful Season Bundle, Fall Masculine Card, Polished Stone Technique

Here is another "Polished Stone" technique sample.  With the return of the glossy card stock, it's fun to play with some of these old techniques.  Though Stampin' Up! does not carry the gold or silver inkers anymore, the technique had to be modified.  Water was used instead of rubbing alcohol and Wink of Stella was used instead of the gold or silver inkers.  And as usual, other colors of inkers were used.

This card was from the latest swap I attended at Terri's Technique night.  Tanya was the designer of this fun card. The base of her card is Crushed Curry, then the glossy card stock that was colored using the new technique. She added a strip of Pumpkin Pie and on top of that is a piece of the burlap ribbon.  She die cut three leaves, one of Crushed Curry, one of Cajun Craze and one of Pumpkin Pie.  She tied a linen bow at the end of the leaf stems.  It's a pretty simple card to make.  You can see my swap card here.  I used a strip of the technique card stock on my card.

The original "Polished Stone" technique instructions can be found here.

This is a fun and effective technique to play with.  Give it a try.  I do highly recommend rubber gloves or your fingers could get just as colorful as the glossy card stock!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
