Seasonal Chums, Halloween Card

I got this set because of the snowman but I am finding the pumpkin image to be a lot of fun too.  I didn't take a photo of the inside of the card, but on the other side of the front cover is the back of the jack-o-lantern.  These "Seasonal Chum" have a front and back and are joined at the top so you can fold them in half and use them for tag and bag toppers. There's a loop in the die so you can add a string or bow.  I'll be showing you something made in a few days using that "feature" on the die. Or  you can do as I did and just fussy cut closer to the image.  Though I have die cut and just fussy cut above the stamped area at the top so it blended in with the rest of the die cutting.  This set also includes a cute snowman, as I mentioned and an adorable reindeer.  He would be cute to make "Reindeer Food" packets with.  The snowman would be fun to use for "Snowman Soup" and of course the pumpkin, for many Halloween things!!  And you can use the back alone for a fall or Thanksgiving card.  The snowman can be used until the snow melts (if you live where there's snow, like I do!!!).

This card is not my idea. I found it on Pinterest.  You can see the original card here.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Pumpkin Pie card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock that was textured with the brick embossing folder.  I taped the two layers together just where I thought the circle would be cut out.  I die cut the circle and then I die cut the opening with the same circle and a larger stitched circle using the Lemon Lime Twist card stock.

I stamped and fussy cut the front and back of the pumpkin.  I colored it all in using Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive markers.

I taped the front pumpkin in place and then I lined up the back of the pumpkin piece and taped those two pieces together.  Once they were in place, I closed the card and added the words from the "Seasonal Chums" set.  And that was it.  Pretty simple and SO darn adorable!  I only copy the best!!! Now they turn out is another story, but most of the time I do the original card justice!!! LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
