Okay, one last Christmas card before I go back into fall mode. I just couldn't resist. I got the idea in my head and it just wouldn't leave. Cyndi C., if you are reading this post, so much for me being "classy", huh? LOL
This was fun to make. It has several layers. I haven't made a card with lots of layers in a very long time.
The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Garden Green. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of "Christmas Around the World" Decorative Series Paper (DSP). On top of the DSP is a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Whisper White that was textured using the "Gently Falling" embossing folder. And that piece was taped to a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" piece of Garden Green.
The words are from the "Oh What Fun" set and they were stamped using Garden Green ink. The Whisper White piece they were stamped on measures 3/4" x 3". The Garden Green layer measures 1" x 3". Or shorter, there is a lot of it hidden behind Santa. So you can grab some scraps and make them work!! Santa was stamped using a 1-5/8" x 2-1/8" piece of Whisper White. I stamped him using Basic Black ink. I colored him in with markers. Once the markers felt like they were dry, I took my x-acto knife and cut the flap on his P.J.'s open. I added a scrap piece of Powdered Pink card stock over the opening on the back. I took the Basic Black writer side of the marker and drew the butt cheek lines. I taped him onto the Garden Green layer and I added Dimensionals to the top and bottom of that piece and set it in place to the right of the words. And that was it. I just couldn't help myself!!! LOL
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
