I received my September Paper Pumpkin kit. It has these adorable pillow boxes in it to decorate, plus note cards to go with them. I didn't need any pillow box gifts so I thought I would try something else. I've never been a fan of note cards, but they are so easy to turn into a regular size card, so they were fine! Except!... When you cut the note card in half, you now have another piece to work with!!! It's like they multiply!! LOL
For this card I played the Paper Pumpkin video on how to assemble the note card. I had fun with it. I LOVE the gold foil sticky leaf frame. And once it's added on top of the pile of leaves, it creates a super elegant look. I stuck with the leaf assembly in the video. I even attached it to the front of the note card. At this point, I wasn't sure where I was going with the card yet. But after I finished it, I knew I wanted more than just a note card. So I took a folded half sheet of Very Vanilla and cut 2" off the front edge.
I took a piece of Decorative Series Paper (DSP) from the "Painted Autumn" pack. I cut that piece 5" x 2". I taped it in place. I was going to add the note card and it dawned on me that the note card opens and also the card, so I cut the note card in half and taped the left side to the left panel of the card front. And that was it. Kits are very fun to play with and to take off in a different direction with too.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
