Daisy Delight, Beautiful Bouquet, Birthday Card

I found a fun card on Pinterest made using some other company's stuff.  I liked the layout and the way the edging was on the original card, so I thought I would try to make one using Stampin' Up! stuff.  You can see the original card here so you can compare.  Warning, theirs is SO much prettier!!!

To make my card I used a folded half-sheet of Peekaboo Peach card stock.  I used the "Trellis" Embossing folder to make the texture on the Whisper White piece.  I cut those pieces 1-7/8" x  4" and 1-5/8 x 4".  Now before you cut yours, you may want to find the wording first and see what fits in the opening.  I didn't do that so I was on the lookout for something to fit in that space.  I found the "Happy Birthday from the "Beautiful Bouquet" and I used Black Memento ink to stamp it. I used that ink because it was sitting on my worktable and I was too lazy to get up and get the Basic Black ink. It's still black ink, so I wouldn't think it would matter. P.S. it doesn't matter!!! LOL

I punched the ribbon border and taped it to the back of the textured card stock.  I taped those piece in place on the card base.

I stamped two flowers using Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie card stock.  I punched the two flowers out and taped them together.  I set it in place on the card front using a Dimensional.  I added a Gold Faceted Gem to the center of the flower.  It was next that I stamped my words.  I had to make sure the flower fit with the front and yet left enough space for words.  And once I did that, the card was complete. It was pretty cool, though I don't like the texture with the ribbon edging.  But what's done is done!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
