Peekaboo Peach is such a fun color to play with. I have not used it much so when I was looking through my stamp sets, I thought I would play with the "Tranquil Tulips" set and Peekaboo Peach came to mind. With summer nearly being over I thought I would sneak in a spring flower!!! The further north you go, it's spring like weather, right?? LOL
I'll tell you how I made this card. The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Peekaboo Peach card stock. The Basic Black layer was cut 4" x 3-1/2" and the Whisper White focal layer was cut 3-3/4" x 3-1/4".
I stamped the flowers using Peekaboo Peach ink. For the center of the flowers I used Chocolate Chip. The leaves and stems were stamped using Pear Pizzazz ink.
The words are from the "Special Celebrations" set and I stamped them using Basic Black ink. I die cut them with the stitched oval die and I used a Basic Black oval scalloped piece for the back layer.
I set the flower layers in place with Dimensionals and the birthday words were set with Dimensionals on the bottom and snail tape on the top part of the word. If you add Dimensionals on the whole oval, it will be raised at an angle. Not a pretty thing to do!!! Trust me, I've done this stuff, I think I've done it all!! LOL I'm here to teach you NOT to do it!!!
