I bought this huge package of in colors Decorative Series Paper (DSP) and I thought I should use some of it. I can't tell you how many retired packages of this stuff I have. I need to use it more. I can't believe it's not used up, after all, I do have 2 years to use it until the color retires. I know, right???
So today I got out the package of paper and created this interesting card. I like the DSP but I'm not so fond of the flower I chose.
The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Berry Burst card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White that was embossed using the "Garden Trellis" embossing folder.
I added a layer of Berry Burst card stock cut 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" and the Berry Burst DSP cut 2" x 4".
I used the new "Decorative Ribbon Border" punch to make the edge on the flower piece. The Berry Burst layer was cut 3" x 2-1/4". I cut the Whisper White piece 2-3/4" x 2". I stamped the image using Basic Black ink. I colored the flower in using the Berry Burst ink pad and a blender pen. I taped the edge of the punched piece to the bottom.
The words are from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set. I stamped them using Berry Burst ink. I used the oval die to cut them out. I used the scalloped oval die and Berry Burst card stock for the layer.
I set the flower layer and words layer in place using Dimensionals. I did not use a Dimensional on the right side of the word oval. If you do, it won't lay even. And that was it.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
