Timeless Textures, Rose Wonder, Wedding Card, Rubber Band Technique

No, you are not seeing things.  This is pretty similar to the card I posted last week.  You can see that card here.  I really liked that card, plus I said I thought it would make a great wedding card.  For the background on this one I thought I would try the "Rubber Band" Technique and use it for the technique swap tonight.  

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of the new Powder Pink.  And on top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock.

For the background on the Whisper White piece, I used the "Rubber Band" technique.  You take rubber bands and twist them around a clear acrylic stamping block.  Make sure there's some twists in the band your you will just get a wide flat line. Don't let the bands cross over each other or you will only get images of the ones on top. For mine I had 4 rubber bands wrapped around the block, for a total of 8 twisted lines. I stamped the Poweder Pink color first and then I stamped the Crumb Cake color.  After I did that, I added the Pear Pizzazz leafy looking images and then the coffee ring type image using Crumb Cake ink that was stamped off once.

The words are from the "Rose Wonder" set and were stamped using Soft Suede ink.  I die cut the butterfly and covered it with "Wink of Stella" and then I added the pearls. I added Dimensionals and set it in place. Click the above link for the measurements for the word piece.  That piece was also set in place using Dimensionals.

The butterflies orientation is different than the first card I made, plus I only used 3 pearls down the back of the butterfly.  

The background technique was fun and I do like how it turned out on my card.
