I wanted to get en a few more cards using the "Daisy Delight" set before winter comes. Though I'm sure it's PC to make cards all year long using spring and summer flowers. But I did see the new 2017 Occasions catalog and I have a feeling I will be making lots of things from that set. Anyway, back to this card. I found it on Pinterest. You can see the original here. I did not have a stitched circle die as big as the original so I just cut an arch and left it plain. It does look like it needs something there. Perhaps I should have made a Wisteria Wonder layer behind it. I still like the looks of it as it is.
The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White. It was cut on the short side at 4-1/4". This card opens from the bottom. I cut two pieces of piece of Whisper White 4" x 5-1/4", one for the top layer and one to stamp on. I also cut a piece of the Delightful Daisy Decorative Series Paper (DSP) the same size. You could probably work it out so you only need to use half the piece of the DSP, but I didn't want to do math! I taped the DSP in place. Then I took other piece of Whisper White card stock and cut the arch freehand. I did draw a pencil line on the top and bottom edge so I knew where to start and where to end. After cutting it, I took the stem image and set it on the acrylic block. I set it on there curved. That's what is fun about the polymer stamps, you can bend them to suit your needs. I stamped the stem and the words using Wild Wasabi ink. I taped that piece in place on top of the DSP.
I stamped two flowers using Wisteria Wonder ink and added the Daffodil Delight center. I punched out the two flowers and put them together using a Dimensional. I used Dimensionals to set this whole piece in place on the card base and that was it. I was a bit surprised at how quickly this card went together. It was fun too!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
