You can't pass up an opportunity to make a simple and yet elegant card with very few supplies. I found a fun card on Pinterest that had this layout, so I ran with it and used Stampin' Up! products to make mine. And here's how I did it.....
I started out with a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. Then I added a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of the "Delightful Daisy" Designer Series Paper (DSP). Now if you like to do math and I mean math that requires you to know how to measure angles, then you could work it out so you could only use half that size piece of DSP. As for me, I can't even get the checkbook to balance (and we rarely write checks!) so I opted to eye it on the cutter.
So I took a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock and I stamped the "Thank You" from the "Daisy Delight" set using Old Olive ink. I stamped it where I thought it may look like a nice angle. Then I went to my cutter and cut just a little below the words. I turned my card stock and cut the other side a little longer. I didn't want an envelope looking card, thought that may be pretty too.
Next I took the new "Decorative Ribbon Border" punch and punched out a couple of long pieces. I taped the back of the "thank you" piece and then set the border edges in place. I did trim the center on one of them a bit so it would blend better. Lay it out on the piece first before you tape, then you can see how much you will need to trim or if you should trim some first before you even begin to tape it. Once that was done I taped it onto the DSP and then I took one of the many little flowers that were left over from my August Paper Pumpkin kit and added the flower using a Dimensional and two small leaves. And the card was done. How quick and simple was that? Oh and don't forget elegant!! LOL
P.S. The Paper Pumpkin did have the word "Thanks" with this kit but I thought the formal "thank you" seemed more appropriate because of the elegant look.
