I have not played much with the "Colorful Season" set, mostly because I wanted it because of the snowflakes. I am not ready to play with snowflakes yet. I'm waiting to see if there is a large "Merry Christmas" in the fall occasions catalog coming out next month. I hope so because I have our Christmas card figured out in my head if that's the case!!! I was going to keep my fingers crossed but it's hard to make cards and type with crossed fingers!! LOL
Anyway, let's get on to today's card. I do love these leaves, though I do know summer is still going on hot and heavy (heavy and thick air some days). I thought about doing green leaves but then the cut wood didn't seem to go well with it. Not so much with the color but with the notion. Cut wood usually means fall and dead leaves. Those leaves are usually a myriad of colors, I picked three! I used Pumpkin Pie, Peekaboo Peach, and Crushed Curry.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Pumpkin Pie with a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Very Vanilla on top. The wood pile piece is cut from the "Wood Texture" Designer Series Paper (DSP), it measures 1-1/4" x 4-1/2". The layer behind it is cut 1-3/8" x 4-5/8" from a scrap piece of Pumpkin Pie.
I stamped the leaves using Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach, and Pumpkin Pie ink. I die cut the leaves using the "Seasonal Layers" dies and I set them in place with a tiny piece of Dimensional on the large spot just above the stem. It was just enough to raise it and hold it in place. I lined up the leaves with the stamped image. That was it. I didn't add any words. I'm not sure what occasion I wanted to use this card for. I'll add that when I need the card. It's a wonderful masculine card! Great for Father's Day, masculine get well, masculine sympathy, masculine birthday or thinking of you!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

All your cards and wonderful. Like this masculine card but do not have this DSP. Can't buy everything.
