Today I thought I would play with the "Colorful Season" set. I bought this set because I LOVED the snowflakes in it. I've hardly used them, but winter isn't here yet, so watch out!!! LOL This was a fun card to make. Very little stamping and lots of color!
The base of this card is a folded 1/2-sheet of Tangerine Tango card stock. I added a 2" x 5-1/2" strip of "Delightful Daisy" Designer Series Paper (DSP).
I stamped Always Artichoke ink on a piece of Artichoke card stock using the vein leaf image from the "Colorful Season" set. I also stamped two tiny leaves using Peekaboo Peach ink and card stock. I die cut the leaves. I used Cajun Craze and another piece of Always Artichoke and die cut the leaf silhouettes.
The words are from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set. I was looking for some words that would look nice in a round area as opposed to an oval one. The words were stamped using Always Artichoke ink. I used the stitched circle die to cut out the words and I used a scrap piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock to die cut the circle scallop to go behind the words. I added Dimensionals to the back of the words. I didn't set them in place yet, I just set them on top of the card front and then I began to layer the leaves. After I got them where I wanted them, I removed the word piece and carefully taped the leaves in place. Then I added the words. It's pretty simple to do too, colorful and a lot of fun!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
