Today I needed 2 sympathy cards, a masculine one and a feminine one. I thought I would use the "Thoughts & Prayers" set. The feminine one was done using Blushing Bride cardstock and this one was done using Pool Party cardstock.
The base of this card is Whisper White. Then a layer of Pool Party cut 4" x 5-1/4" was taped on top of that.
Next I took a quarter sheet of Whisper White and used the "Polka Dot Basics" embossing folder for the background. Then I cut it to measure 5" x 3-3/4". I like to cut my cardstock before I emboss it to make sure I get the exact size I want. Sometimes when you cut it first you can end up with a smaller piece due to the embossing.

I die cut the largest oval in the set of dies. You can cut that oval from the sandwiched piece of Pool Party cardstock. Cut it in the center and no one will be the wiser!!!
I colored in the flowers using the Pool Party marker and I colored the greenery using the Old Olive marker. I die cut the scalloped oval. Next I stamped the words using Chocolate Chip ink. Then I taped the oval layers together.
I wrapped some copper thread around the embossed cardstock and taped the ends in the back. I used Dimensionals on the oval and set it in place on the polka dot background. And for the final touch, I added some tiny pearls to the center of each flower. And that was it. Now that I look at it, it's not so masculine. Oh well! I have no time to make a new card.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
