I had some leftover decorative paper from the "Falling in Love" Decorative Series Paper (DSP) pack. I just ordered my new papers and stamp sets today, so it will be about 10 days before I get my new stuff!! So in the meantime I will be playing with what I have that is current but I may add a piece of retired DSP every now and then.
The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Pool Party cardstock. On top of that is the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of DSP. On top of that is a half circle from the May 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit. I taped it in place on the left side. I don't know why I had to use it, but I did like it on this DSP.
Next I took some gold thread and wound it around my fingers, holding on to the cut end with my thumb and forefinger. When I cut it, I added tat end to my thumb and forefinger and taped the strands together there with 2 glue dots. They threads were sandwiched between the glue dots. Before I taped the strands together, I did adjust them so they are not all the same length.
Then I die cut the dragonfly using Soft Suede cardstock. I set it in place with small pieces of Dimensionals. I added pearls down the back of the dragonfly.
I stamped the words using Soft Suede ink and the card was finished. I was thrilled at how quickly the card went together. I like how it turned out!
