I have been having fun with the new "Birthday Memories" Designer Series Paper (DSP). I find it SO easy to take a matching die and just cut out the image. No coloring at all. Some may say, "where's the fun or challenge in that?" But I think it's nice, now and then, to just die cut something that is ready to go. I don't think I would like to do this on a regular basis. I do like to color, though cutting out is not so fun, but there are so many sets with matching dies, so it's just a matter of stamping, maybe coloring and then die cutting. So now and then it's just fine to take an image like this and die cut it!
The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of new Powdered Pink cardstock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Sweet Sugarplum and the Whisper White piece is cut 3-3/4" x 5".
I took a piece of scrap from the "Petal Garden Memories & More Card Pack". I layered it with a piece of Powdered Pink cardstock. I taped it in place and then stamped the "Happy Birthday" from the "Birthday Delivery" set using Sweet Sugarplum ink. I know, I should have just set that piece in place and stamped the words. Brave!!! Fortunately I didn't mess up the words so I didn't have to try to remove that strip. Normally I stamp before I tape but I don't know what I was thinking when I did it that way.
Next I die cut the little girl out of the "Birthday Memories" DSP and set her in place using Dimensionals. And that was it. Super simple!!
