I still had some "You've Got This" flowers sitting on my worktable and I didn't want to toss them aside or toss them out so I thought I would play with one of them today.
I used a folded half sheet of Calypso Coral for the base of my card. On top of that I used a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Tip Top Taupe decorative paper from the 12" x 12" stack. I love those stacks but I never seem to put a dent in them before they retire. UGH! Sounds familiar even with the packs that only have 12 sheets in them!!! I don't know if I'm hoarding or just forgetting to use them. When you use them, you don't need to do much else with the background.
Anyway, I cut a strip of Calypso Coral 2-1/4" x 4" and a piece of Whisper White cardstock 2" x 4".
I colored the flower using a blender pen and the Calypso Coral marker. I used Delightful Dijon for the center of the flower.
Next I cut 3 leaves using the "Botanical Builders" dies. I cut one of Pear Pizzazz and the other two are Old Olive. I set the flower in place so I knew where to stamp the words. After the words dried I added the leaves and then I set the flower in place using Dimensionals.
It was a pretty simple flower to make, though I am not a big fan of fussy cutting but I did it because what I had in mind for the card, I thought it would be pretty. And for once in a very long time, what I pictured in my head came out the same on paper!!! LOL
It was fun and I do like how it turned out!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
