I'm still working on my thank you cards. I suppose I could just make one design and send the cards out. It's not like they are going to compare notes and see that I made everyone the same exact card. Doing it this way gives me an excuse to make more cards and play in my workroom a lot longer.
I found this card on Pinterest. I went to the site where it was published from and found that the person who had the card on their blog copied it from another stamper. But she didn't say who or give a link back. I am not providing a link back only because my computer went blank and was sounding like an alarm clock. Thank you Windows updates. GRRR. You have no warning with the updates and everything I had open on my computer was lost. So I do not know where the card came from and even if I did, it wouldn't do you any good to go there, the stamper didn't provide any information on it.
I am going to tell you how I made the card. The base is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White cardstock. I took two 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Whisper White cardstock. On one piece I used the "Falling Petals" embossing folder. I cut that piece at 3-1/2". I did save the bottom part for some other card on a day when I get an idea for it!!! LOL Then I taped that piece to the other 4" x 5-1/4" piece. I also added a 1-3/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White to the bottom. But first I stamped the border piece from the "Special Reason" set and the words from the "Rose Wonder" set. Then I added a 1/2" x 4" strip of Blushing Bride cardstock to cover the seam.
I die cut the scalloped circle using Rose Red cardstock. I die cut the Whisper White circle using a stitched framelit. Then I die cut the flower. I stamped the two flowers and die cut them out. Those were stamped using Rose Red ink. Then I die cut 3 leaves using Old Olive cardstock. Many of the pieces were cut at the same time to save time!
To assemble the card, the Whisper White panel was set in place using Dimensionals. The Scalloped piece was taped in place and then the die cut circle flower piece was set in place using Dimensionals. Then the leaves were added and lastly the two flowers. I did use some White enamel accents on the center of the flower, I colored them yellow with a Sharpie marker. And that was it. It was a pretty quick and simple card to make. I did have fun making it and I can see myself making more in the future. It's a versatile design and can be used for many other occasions.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
