Dragonfly Dreams, Get Well Card

Today I didn't spend any time in my workroom so I was thinking that I wouldn't be posting a card but I had this one sitting on my worktable to share with you.  It was a card that was sent to me by a demonstrator named Lisa.  She sent me this card after I got home from the hospital.  I think it's such a fun and stunning card.  So fun that I had to order the set!!! This set will be in the new catalog but I ordered it now because it's bundled and I saved 10%.  So with shipping to my home it was still cheaper than waiting to order it individually from the new catalog.  The set is called "Dragonfly Dreams" and the dies are called "Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits".  I have seen SO many adorable cards made using this set.  It arrived 2 days ago and I need to bring it down to my workroom so I can play with it.  I do have a few other sets that will be retiring that I want to play with first though!

This card opens from the right side.  The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Soft Suede. Bees were stamped as a background using Basic Black ink.

The bee on the stitched oval piece was stamped on what feels like watercolor paper.  It looks like it was colored in with a blender pen and Delightful Daffodil ink.  Then some Sahara Sand ink was used around the bee.  I'm not sure of the color, but that's what I think was used.  I am not sure what set the words are from.  They are not from the "Dragonfly Dreams" set.

I love how the ribbon was done too.  I don't have that ribbon so I won't be duplicating this card the same way as Lisa did.  But I would like to make some if I can find the words.  They look familiar but I don't recall the name of the set.  Anyway, once the ribbon was set in place on the card, then the oval was added using Dimensionals.

It's a pretty simple card to make and pretty darn cute!!!  Oh and it was a card that brightened my day when I received it.  Thanks SO much Lisa!  Your card got a lot of ooohs and aaaahs!!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
