Today I was in need of a birthday card. I bet you thought I was going to say Mother's Day card, but no, I actually made one earlier in the week so I was on top of it (for once!!!).
I found a fun card on Pinterest that I thought I could work with to make a quick and pretty birthday card. I liked the leaves and doily elements of the card the best so I worked around those. You can see the original card here.
I didn't have the wooden embellishment, I didn't have the wording they used either. The words I used here are from the "Rose Wonder" set. I stamped them using Memento black ink and then I punched the ends. This piece measured 1" and I just guessed with the length. I cut the vellum 1-1/2" and eyed the length with the word piece on top.
The decorative paper is from the "Falling in Love" 12" x 12" pack. I taped the doily in place and trimmed up the right side. Then I set the words on top so I knew how far to place the leaves so the ends of them wouldn't show. I set the words aside and taped the ends of the leaves in place. Then I took some linen, wrapped it 3 times around a bottle and used glue dots to set it in place. Then I added Dimensionals under the vellum where the white is (so they wouldn't show through the vellum) and set that in place over the leaves and linen. And that was it. It's a super easy and fun card to make.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
