Today I was playing some more with the April Paper Pumpkin kit. I have yet to make a card from the kit with what is only in the kit. I kind of like them but I had some ideas for other cards so I ran with them instead. But I should do them up and get the box off my worktable.
I had fun making this card. The black card base is from the kit. I folded the piece in half. Then I colored in the embossed watercolor paper using the yellow and blue watercolor pencils that came with the kit. I first colored the yellow one all over the area and then I lightly went over it with the blue one so when I used water on the included brush I would get a nice green color. I wanted a more smooth color but this will do!
Then I cut that piece of watercolor paper to 4-3/4" x 1-7/8". Before taped it in place I added a half of a paper doily to it.
Then I die cut the butterfly using Basic Black cardstock. I set it in place with some trimmed Dimensionals. I added some rhinestones down the center to give it a little more bling, without them it looks pretty blah.
The words are from the kit. I stamped them using the Basic Black ink from the kit. I die cut them out using the Stitched Oval dies. I die cut a Pear Pizzazz scalloped oval to go behind it. I taped those two pieces together and used Dimensionals to set it in place.
The kit also came with these larger plastic flowers. They are clear plastic and the backs of them have a glittered coating. I set it in place using glue dots and I added a rhinestone to the center of it. There is a hole in the center and without the rhinestone, it looked odd. It actually looked like I had forgotten to finish it.

And that was it! It was a pretty simple card to make. It's fun playing with the embossed watercolor paper.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,

OMG! The butterfly ads so much. I actually think I'm gonna make this card! I usually just put everything back in the box and put it on the shelf!
