It's a little early for Father's Day but I am really liking this new "Nailed It" set that has the "Build It" Framelit Dies to go along with it. No fussy cutting here! I especially LOVE the screw and bolt dies.
For this card I used Basic Gray cardstock for the base, a folded half sheet. Then I took a piece of the decorative paper from the "Urban Underground" Decorative Series Paper pack (DSP). I cut that piece 4" x 5-1/4". I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3-3/4" x 5".
I used the splatter image from the "Gorgeous Grunge" set. I stamped it using Basic Gray ink. Next I die cut 3 pieces of DSP and set them on top of the splattered ink images.
I stamped the "Happy Father's Day" image using a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. I die cut it and set it in the center of the other die cut pieces using Dimensionals.
I die cut some screws and bolts using silver metallic paper. I wasn't thinking when I was cutting out the other pieces, but I could have cut the screws and bolts out at the same time. So much for planning ahead!! LOL They were easy and quick to cut out but the fact is, I could have done them all at once and saved myself some time. But what's done is done and if I use it again, I will know to cut them out at the same time!
There's not a whole lot to this card. I found it super easy to make. I found a card that used the colors of the hexagons but I can't find it now. I changed it a lot, so if you did find it, you may not notice the 3 hexagons on the Whisper White piece were the same.
It'a very easy and fun card to make.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
