Today I'm going to share with you a fun technique card I received in a swap. The technique is called "Dutch Fold". It's a very simple technique, if you do it right. When I made mine, I didn't follow the instructions. You can see my card here. And the instructions to make it are there as well. Just remember to cut the front piece and add it on separate!!! I cut the top part of the card off. All that does is creates an open topped card.
I do not know who made this card, I'm thinking it was a fellow stamper, Julie.
The set used here is the "Birthday Blast" and "Star Blast" edgelits dies. As I look at this card I am seeing that it was made the same way I did mine!!! LOL It just seemed like the logical way to make the card.
This is a fun technique to do, and very easy. The colors used here are Basic Black and Peekaboo Peach. I need to use that color more, it's so soft and spring like. With the snow all gone here and the trees budding, spring colors are SO welcomed. I even saw my first robin on the 16th. Poor thing. It's so cold out there. That warm spell we had must have fooled them into flying north.
This is such a fun birthday card! The stars are attached to the front of the card. Pictures don't always show what is going on!
Thank you so much for stopping by today,
Wanda

Great card and colour combo. That dutch fold looks like so much fun to make and to receive. I just ordered this one after seeing a few other great cards. It is in transit so I will be trying your great card idea when it arrives. TFS
