My sweet friend Colleen C. gave me this beautiful card. The Decorative Series Paper (DSP) is from the "Fruit Stand pack. I looked in the catalog for this and kept passing it by. All I saw was the fruit and not what was on the other side. It's pretty paper!! This color is Peekaboo Peach.
The base of this card is a folded half sheet of Peekaboo Peach cardstock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then the "Fruit Stand" papers were set on top of that. They were cut 3-3/4" x 2" for the bottom piece, and the top piece was cut 3-3/4" x 3". A piece of Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon was added to hide where the two pieces of DSP meet or overlap, depends on how you cut your pieces. I tend to cut a little longer and just overlap a little. Not too much or the ribbon won't cover it.
The image was stamped on a piece of Whisper White that was cut 4" x 2-1/2". Then it was colored in using a blender pen and the Peekaboo Peach ink pad. The "Floral Affection" embossing folder was used on top of the image. I love the looks of that effect. It was then set on a piece of Peekaboo Peach cut 4-1/4" x 2-3/4". It was set in place using Dimensionals. Then three silver sequins were added and it was done.
A pretty quick and simple card. I LOVE the colors here. Now I want to buy the "Floral Affection" embossing folder set. GRRR There are two smaller folders in that set. I will add it to my wishlist!
Thank you so much for stopping by today,
