Upcycled Paper Pumpkin Calendar Pages, Masculine Get Well Card

I had gotten a stamp set (several) for Christmas and today I thought I would play with one.  It is not a Stampin' Up! set but it was still fun to play with.

Earlier this month I had cannibalized the calendar I had made from a 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I LOVED the background cardstock that was used on them, so I picked out the ones that were my favorite and removed the calendars and other items and much to my surprise, I didn't rip any of the image while removing the Dimensionals.  SO I have some fun backgrounds to play with.  You can see the calendar pages by clicking here.  This image was perfect to make a card with.  This image is from the Art Impressions (AI) set SCO681. It also has Hampton Art on the front too, with an "H" sticker on the bottom right corner.  That is all the info I have on the set.  There is no name on it, just that number.

I tried to match some cardstock to the calendar piece.  It's a pretty bluegray but I couldn't find a color to match, so I went with Basic Gray.  I like it but it did make the background look more gray than bluish.  But it's okay, I like it anyway.

I colored in the hospital gown and the socks with the Basic Gray marker.  I took the Marina Mist marker and made little dots on the gown.  I thought it could use something more than just being plain gray.  It was fun coloring the image with markers. Once I was done, I layered it with a piece of Basic Gray cardstock.

The words were also in the set.  I added a scalloped oval to the words and set it in place using Dimensionals.  The inside of the card reads: "Hope you'll soon be fully re-covered?"  LOL  Just TOO darn cute!  I stamped two of this guy but I can't find the other one. When I do I may try a different background and see what else I can create with it.

Now I have a masculine get well card for my stash.  Doesn't matter though, if I need one I usually make a fresh one.  It's not like the ones in my stash go bad (like eggs in the fridge) but I just feel I need to make a fresh one when I need one.  Though I have on rare occasions grabbed a card from the stash because I needed one immediately, just minutes before I had to head out the door.  But most of the time I make fresh ones.  Silly me!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
