Today I needed to make a thank you card for a birthday gift I had received. I'm a little late in getting it out but it's now done and ready to go in the mail tomorrow.
For the base I used a folded half sheet of Whisper White cardstock. The next layer is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Watermelon Wonder. And on top is a 3-3/8" x 5" piece of Whisper white.
First I stamped the "thank you" but I should have removed it over to the right and down a little bit more. Then I die cut the balloons and bows. I used Watermelon Wonder and Bermuda Bay for them. The "Thank You" is from the "So Very Much" Sale-a-Bration set.
I wrapped a piece of wet Baker's Twine around a toothpick and let it dry. I cut it in half and taped it behind the balloon. Oh, I did forget to mention, I took the Balloon Punch and punched out the large Balloon to go behind the die cut balloons. Having them open didn't look quite right.
I set the balloons in place using Dimensionals.
It's a pretty easy card to make and the "T" on the Thank you would have shown up more had I moved the image over about 3/8" of an inch. But you can still see that it reads "Thank You", so mission accomplished!!!
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
Hello, love the card and bird--alas I do not often buy the bundle so fussy cut. It is nice that you show us the cards, say where idea came from and let us save to pinterest---thanks for being so generous with your craft.
