Today I thought I would give another image from the "Moon Baby" set a try. I LOVE this sleeping baby on the moon. Since I made a girl card yesterday, I thought I would try a boy one today. Though I think I may make one of these in pink and one in a green, maybe Pear Pizzazz, a soft green, so I have one for those who don't know what they are having.
For this card I used a folded half sheet of Basic Black cardstock. Then I added a 4" x 5-1/5" of Bermuda Bay decorative paper from the 12" x 12" stacks. I stamped the image on a 3" x 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then I colored the images in. I was going to add some Dazzling Diamonds to the stars but I decided not to. I still might do it though, I think it could use a little sparkle.
Once I colored the image in, I layered it on a piece 3-1/8" x 3-3/8" piece of Basic Black cardstock. I stamped the words and used the oval dies to cut them out plus the scalloped layer behind it. I taped the baby panel in place on top of the decorative paper. And for the words, I used Dimensionals behind them to give the card some depth. Originally I was going to have the card landscape instead of portrait but I couldn't get the words to look right on it, so I turned the cardstock and this is what I ended up with. I like it, I think it turned out just fine.
The inside of the card reads: "do you know how loved you are?" Isn't that just the sweetest?
This was a fun card to make and I could see myself making some more. They were fun and easy enough to do.
Thank you ever so much for stopping by today,
Wanda
