When I was playing around with this card I was starting to regret that I didn't buy any Valentine's Day stamp sets. But I started looking through my stamp sets and found the "My Valentine" in the "Bloomin' Love" set. So I was content!!! I just didn't want to buy a set that I wouldn't use much. I didn't see them as very versatile. I tend to pass them up when I can't see more uses out of them then for a single day "holiday". But when I saw I had something from the "Bloomin' Love" set I ran with it. I had bought that set because I could use it for weddings, anniversaries and Valentine's Day. Now that's versatility!!!
For this card I used a folded half sheet of Whisper White for the base. Then I added a layer of Rich Razzleberry that cut 4" x 5-1/4". The Whisper White layer on top was cut 3-3/4" x 5".
First I stamped the words using Melon Mambo ink. Then I stamped the dots on using Rich Razzleberry ink. Next I stamped Melon Mambo ink but I stamped off once because I wanted to be able to see the words.
I die cut the flower using Melon Mambo cardstock. I cut an Old Olive leaf for behind the flower and I cut a silver glitter leaf. That leaf is much prettier in person. The center of the flower is from the "Botanical Builders", I cut two of them and colored the tips with the white chalk marker. I taped the two together and that is what design it made. I thought it looked kind of cool. Well, different anyway!!! LOL I put the flower together with glue dots. I used a Dimensional to set the flower in place on the card and it was done. It was pretty quick to make. Though now that I look at it, I wish I would have done the words on a separate piece of cardstock and added it with a layer behind it. One good thing about this card the way it's laid out, I can still do that. And I just may add the layer and words separate. I'll post it on here when I get it done. The card with go in the pile with some other ones that are waiting for a little "face lift"!
Thank you ever so much for visiting today,
