I saw a fun card (looks a lot like this one LOL) on the net and I wanted to try to duplicate it. The original card can be found here. It has a stitched or faux stitched edge around the Crumb Cake card stock. I didn't have the means to make the edges like that, so I just left them plain. But they really do need a little something. I suppose I could have sponged them. It's too late now, the top layer is set in place using Dimensionals, and there's no getting it off without marking up that piece. So it is what it is.
The base of my card is Whisper White. I stamped the image and then used the new Watercolor Pencils. I blended the color in using a blender pen. For the skin I used the Calypso Coral color. I lightly colored it on the skin areas and used the blender pen to soften the color. There was no pink in the pack so, I had to do the best I could. I'm glad that color worked because I LOVE using watercolor pencils.
The words came from the set. It's a fun set and there's LOTS of images and words to play with. I have seen many cards that I want to try to make. Plus I'd like to come up with some original ones too!!
This was a super easy card to make. I do like the look of it.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
