Merry Tags Framelits, Christmas Magic, Christmas Card, Misting Technique

Today I found a fun card on Pinterest and it inspired me to make it plus take it a step further.  You can see that card here

The changes I made are easy to pick out.  I die cut the image two times. Once using the Dazzling Diamonds card stock and once using the Crumb Cake card stock.  I cut off the trees and sprayed them with a mixture of inker and rubbing alcohol. You mix as ink to the alcohol until you get the color you want. If it's too dark, just add more alcohol.  Then use a misting bottle and spray your color on and let it dry. You can speed up the drying by using the embossing heat tool.  I didn't do that since I had other elements on the card to make which took up time, so by the time I got back to the trees they were already dry.

I glued the deer over the Dazzling Diamonds one and then I glued the image in place on a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Night of Navy card stock I had run through the Big Shot using the "Falling Snow" embossing folder.  I took my brayer and inked it up using White Craft ink.  I did heat set that because the craft ink takes WAY too long to dry.  After I glued the tag in place I glued the trees back where they were cut from.

I layered that 2-1/2" piece on top of a piece of Dazzling Diamonds cut 2-3/4" x 2-3/4".  I set it in place using Dimensionals.

The words are from the "Christmas Magic" set. I set them in place using Dimensionals.  I added pearls to each end.  The snowflake is from the "Hang Your Stockings".  It was left over and I didn't want to toss it out!  I set it in place with a glue dot and added a pearl to the center.

The base of the card is Whisper White and the background layer is Night of  Navy textured with the "Falling Snow" like the smaller  piece was done.

It was a fun card to make.  It had a lot of pieces to deal with, but all in all it was fun and I like the end results.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
