This is a set (stamps and die) that I regret getting, only because I didn't have enough time to play with it like I thought I would. I spent a lot of time with the "Hang Your Stocking" and "Cookie Cutter Christmas" sets, which I loved and had a great time with.
I think I bought this set to make our Christmas cards with this year. Oh well. I am 99% positive it will be retired but I'm going to hang onto it and maybe use it next year. "Hang on to it"! LOL That is a riot. I hang on to them all!!! Though in 2017 I will be going through my sets and selling them in my web store and come May I will be selling what is left in our neighborhood annual garage sale.
Okay, onto this fun card. I went on Pinterest to see if I could find a quick card to make with the "Detailed Santa and Greetings from Santa" set. I saw this card and it was like I was like I was stopped dead in my tracks. I looked it over and saw that I had all of the "stuff" to make the card. You can see the original card here. It was a square card. Not that I have anything against square cards, I just don't have envelopes and I don't know where my envelope board punch thing is! Plus I'm not very good at using it. LOL
I did cut the red part of the hat out using the framelit. It fits inside the outline. The face, beard and pompom are glued to the back. I did tape the face part but I felt I needed to glue the beard and pompom because I don't have luck with tape sticking to that glitter paper.
The "Ho Ho Ho!" is embossed in white. I don't know what color the face was done on the original card but I used Pink Pirouette. I forgot to add the dots for the eyes. I will be adding them after I post this.
The "Merry Christmas" is from the "Greetings from Santa" set and I stamped it using Real Red ink. The base of the card is Basic Black. I will add a piece of white card stock to the inside to stamp words on and sign my name. It was a fun card to make and I'm glad I was able to change it from a square card to a regular size card. I do like how it turned out.
Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

Merry Christmas Wanda! Just a quick comment on the envelope punch board. I keep mine in a pile of tools right next to me so it is very handy. Also just an encouragement to get to know it as it can do a lot of things other than envelopes. Mine must have lived with me at least 2 weeks before it made even one envelope. Enjoy!
